Application and characteristics: 

1.     Antioxidant 300 can be used as antioxidant of Polyolefine, polyester, polystyrene, ABS and PE, it can be used in white, bright color and transparent products.

2.     Antioxidant 300 is a typical of thiobisphenol type of antioxidant. Because of special structure, it has both functions of free radical terminator and hydroperoxide splitter. Antioxidant 300 has double effects of free radical termination and hydrogen peroxide decomposition, which plays a dual role of main and auxiliary antioxidants. It can be used alone. Other antioxidants, such as 1010, 1076, TCA and 264 are ineffective when used independently, because they only function as termination agent of free radicals and incapable of decomposing hydrogen peroxide. The application must be accompanied by auxiliary antioxidants, such as DLTP, DSTP, DNP and 168.
Antioxidant 300 is multi-functional, highly efficient and convenient.

3.     Antioxidant 300 can be used as antioxidant of polyolefine, rubber and plastic, especially for, PE cable.

4.     Antioxidant 300 used with carbon black.When carbon black is used with antioxidants, the effect can be synergistic and antagonistic. It is of importance to choose correct antioxidant and utilize a scientifically designed formula.Much experimental data and practices confirmed that Antioxidant 300 and carbon black used in conjunction can have synergistic effect, whereas hindered phenol and hindered amine antioxidants (such as 1010, TCA, DNP) used with carbon black can be antagonistic (see Table 5) and reduce stability of the polymer. The effect of catalytic oxidation and adsorption of carbon black is commonly used for phenol and amine antioxidants.However, sulfur-containing hindered phenol (such as 300, 736) can be rarely adsorbed by the surface of carbon black; instead, they are transferred into chemical compounds with greater antioxidant efficacy under the catalysis of carbon black that enhances stability of the polymer.

5.     Antioxidant 300 used with UV absorbers such as benzophenone UV-531 and benzotriazole Tinuvin-327 used together can have good synergistic effects. The polymer is commonly used in polyethylene agricultural film and the fishing line.

6.     When Antioxidant 300 used with other antioxidants and auxiliary agents, it would have be an excellent complement in performance, as well as reducing costs. Compounding technology is often used in formula design.
